I think what would be most helpful is to research for inspiration pictures (if you haven’t already).

Since comfort is of utmost importance, this is definitely a situation I’d want to test seating in person, so I advise against ordering it online.

Can you share some photos for people to suggest more specific ideas? The view sounds enchanting!

I have a large collection of inspiration photos for "zen" bathrooms and kitchens, but not so much for offices.

When I think Zen, I think of:

1. Abundant use of natural materials including wood (especially mid-tone wood with a straight grain), and stone (slate, stacked stone, minimal visible grout or mortar)
2. Warm, indirect lighting
3. Furnishings lean toward minimalist
4. Neutral palette (mostly a function of the use of natural materials or materials that evoke nature)

Unfortunately when I search for "Zen" decorating, I get lots of Buddha's and not a lot of what I want. I've had better luck with "Asian Craftsman."

I think this might be the same kitchen as above. Cement takes the place of stone. The sandstone-look wall is because this is a rammed-earth home (another interest of mine). Not something you can replicate, but it feeds into the naturalistic feel of the space.
