a scale would sure help.. and i presume you would have told us.. if it were fragrant...

if you are looking for a V.. may as well get a fragrant one.. as other have a horrible smell ...

Are we sure this isn't a dogwood? The leaf margins appear to be entire (not toothed), and the veins look like they don't branch.

The veins do look Dogwoodish. Sadly we can’t see the detail of the flowers. Dogwood has 4 petals. Viburnum has 5.

I wiil look closer & post more photos

i thought dogwood too at first from leaves

the viburnum suggestion led me me down another path then to the web and you know how that can go….

but dont some/alot of viburnums have smooth leaf margins?

and i dragged Dirr off a shelf.

Can you not access it to count the petals? That would eliminate one of the genera immediately.
