Olivia - Short Bloom Time

last modified: 3 years ago

I have Olivia standard in a pot. Is it just me or does it have a very short bloom time. While almost most of the blooms remain in same siting location, oliva has faded out . It's pretty established in the pot. This year, I did a -pull- test and I feel like the entire 25G pot plug was attached to the main stem on the pull test.

Typo. Pot plug. Lifting the -main- stem, the entire 25G potting medium felt lke it was fully -attached- aka, roots from top to bottom holding medium

I have Olivia as a bush in the ground and she just goes and goes all spring til frost. Perhaps she is a rose that isn’t meant to be a standard and prefers the ground vs a container.

I know DA says she makes a good standard/container plant but that doesn’t nexessarily translate to real life
