I don't know if there's a way to predict whether something will grow on you or not. Maybe we all get tired of everything after a while anyway. I will say my 28 year old all white secondary bath in the house I bought three years ago has held up surprisingly well. I don't think I would have ever chosen to do an all white bathroom, but it's so trend free I don't feel compelled to remodel it either. I refreshed the faucets and lighting and painted it blue. I have remodeled four full baths and decided from the first to please myself. Look at a a lot of pictures for inspiration before deciding which way to go. It is hard sometimes to picture how everything will look all together when you're looking at small samples in a showroom.

Thank you! I am doing Taupe cabinets ( as shown) with a black matte granite countertops. I was thinking penny tiles of some sort could look really nice possibly marble look for a classic design or bold tile? what is your thoughts on flooring for taupe and black ?

your choices are all attractive, just a thought on penny tile... they come in sheets, but don't butt them in the foot sheet, they should be staggered, even an inch or two or they show up as a grid... you don't see it until it is finished.

...ask around about the black countertop.

although I have never used it in a bathroom, I do have a black bar counter and it always looks dusty. Drives me nuts!
