You probably have solid wood floors underneath. Pull a few boards up to see.

Start with white oak.

For real wood European Oak in pale warm brown. 4mm top layer with hardwood ply core 7 to 11 inches wide. Which will cost more than the allowance. Look for laminate that mimics that. Post photos with a bunch of samples next to your cabinets, You'll get feedback. Floor and Decor should have samples.
