It's a budget breaker, and there is a lot of opportunity to have it messed up during install. Only a very high end contractor team should be considered for that type of project.

I would talk to someone in the company to find out exactly what is involved with shower application since in the description it says damp areas .

Thank you all for the great feedback. As beautiful as it is, I have to agree with DeWayne, it is a budget breaker @ $264 per sq. meter. Plus installation. I had in mind to do the whole master suite. I guess I’ll keep looking!

Hi there - the Italian wet wallpaper system I used had an office in Miami, not sure if they still do. I ordered through an online store in the Netherlands. Installation needs to be done carefully, and it takes time, but it isn’t difficult. My contractor did a great job. The product comes with installation videos and support.

Five years later its standing up well. I’d do it again. :)

We're using micro-cement on all shower walls and all bathroom floors. No grout to clean! Read more about it here: https://www.topciment.com/en-us/

There are amazing large format tiles .......

That said? Much depends the style of the home and what you are going for in a primary suite.

I see no reason this can't work with the right materials. It is basically just printed fabric (fiberglass), adhered to a wall in a way that doesn't lift, and probably a really good top coating for durability and cleanability. Think of it as shower surround on a roll! This is how many boats are made with fiberglass and epoxy. The difficulty is in getting the right stuff, and getting someone to do it right. I don't see why this has to be so expensive. It's unique so they are gouging.
