I’d make sure there is proper venting for the range and lighting over the island….outlets at the island too.

And you mention the front door will be switched to a 4 panel. So there will be three different door types between pantry, back door and front door? Try to get some consistency if you can.

Sorry I should have added this picture. It will only be a single door but it will be this style it will replace the one that is there. The pantry door matches the rest of the interior doors. The back door has panels but might be changed at some point...this one will be ok for now. I am more concerned about asking for the lighting and things that are involved in the construction that I cannot change later without a lot of hassle.

At this point,  with drywall and flooring complete,  any electrical/lighting changes you make now will be the same difficulty as if you do them after you close.   If the builder is including these changes with the contract,  it's a no brainer.  But if they are charging you for them,  you may want to consider whether it's worth waiting until after you move in to see if there are other changes you'd like to make at the same time after living in it for a bit.  With only 3 weeks until closing,  you really don't have a lot of time to make significant changes.

@T T you might be exactly correct. However, they have not put the insulation in the ceiling yet and they are adding a ceiling fan (that was in the contract) so we thought we might be able to at least get the one over the sink.

There is way too much undone there to close on the 30th. July 30th, maybe.

I like recessed lights, but the ones you got are not the correct type for sloped ceilings. The light source needs to point down ...

@User there will be a final appraisal and it will be complete by June 30th.

If they haven't insulated yet,  then yes it would be easier to add lighting now.  I'm used to insulation being done before drywall.
