We're moving into this house and I want to paint the entire house a light off white grey or griege, but I also want to paint or replace the fireplace! With white so it pops against the lighter grey wall. The fireplace is faux stone... I don't love the tappered skinny top look...what is the point of the tappered look? Would you suggest I replace the entire faux stone with a solid non tappered stone? It would be easier to simply paint this, but I'm not inlove with the shape...or maybe I'm missing something and this shape is better for the room layout? The solid shape would be closer to the top windows...?
If I paint it, would solid white be okay or should it have different white and light grey brick colors? So it looks more like stone.
