What a nice shot of Dearest Valentine, and I love the clump of Mountain Bluebird! It has such a pretty color and nice watermark. The color in that photo of Tahiti Sweetie is very appealing. It's color seem to vary a lot from pictures I've seen over the years. Contact High look very vigorous - such a beautiful clump. And you managed to sneak Gypsy Cats in there. Thanks

Why I have learned to never say never. I'm not big on UFs but on occasion there is one that is appealing to me and Crackling Fire is one. How's it do for you in the heat Kay, and are the scapes sturdy enough to hold the blooms ? It's just such an unusual looking color to me that I want to know more about it........Shelby is always so pretty, and I like your combination of Contact High and Gypsy Cats............Sorry to hear about the hail. It missed us last night by just a mile or so. Shredded the elephant ear and Banana tree leaves that had just started taking off for an acquaintance of mine who lives down the way. They also got more rain then we did, but I'll settle for our 2/10's of an inch versus her 2 inches with hail.......Maryl

Oh no! Hail can be so destructive. You still have many lovely blooms. Dearest Valentine is lovely as always. I also like Pink Tarantula. Crackling Fire is indeed amazing. Bob and I have really gotten into those reverse bicolors. We have it and have purchased as many as we can find--Kerfuffle, Lola Branham, Lily Munster, O'Bannon Orchid, and Whoa Mule to name a few. I am glad Hot Buttered Rum is doing well for you.

Maryl, I really like it too, the scapes are plenty sturdy enough to hold it up snsd it does well in the heat, but rain melts it. There was a time that I consider bagel form the only daylily form I liked, but you see how I have changed in my likes.

These are not the hail survivors, Nan. That few blooms (less than 10 different ones, will be posted.tomorrows. These are some of the blooms from yesterday before the chaos. I like the reverse blooms too,but then I tend to like things that are different.

Hail can destroy things in a hurry! Fortunately, my hail did not last long and the wind was ferocious. The worst damage I had were scapes blown on the ground. Navajo Pony now has no scapes upright.

Once again, the clumps steal the show. Mountain Bluebird is so pretty. Crazy Cat Lady is in a bouquet. Pink Tarantula looks great in that photo. Hope the damage was not too bad.

Kate, I think it was small hail and wind that just shredded the blooms. I have not walked the garden carefully yet since we have has so much ongoing lightening too close for staying out.. The storms started again this morning around three o'clock, but the big one headed our way took a little dive and missed us. what a blessing. Hope we both continue to miss the big stuff. an area south of us had baseball size hail yesterday which, of course would cause great damage ti house and cars and pretty much finish the season.

Indeed it would. A friend of ours had $10,000 damage to his car for hail and another one $6,000 to his car.I saw that hail and the tornado that likelyt went with it. Very blessed I just lost part of a day.

Ramming Speed is the Norris cultivar--an appropriate name after your storms. Shelby I tried twice, but did nothing here; it was always a weak plant here. Best picture I've seen of Crackling Fire. Tahiti Sweetie does vary in color; sometimes, more spotted. But the color is always strong and, to me, appealing.

Sorry to see hail coming to you. You've some great pics. Always love Tahiti Sweetie, always a standout to me. Also like Pink Tarantula, Crazy Cat Lady and Dearest Valentine as well.

Mantis, Kate sent me Ramming Speed as the colors didn't suit her. We were lucky even with the hail we had since a town in south Alabama had baseball sized hail, That would have finished the season and done severe damage elsewhere. I like Crackling Fire and it seems to have thst delicate look here. I am sorry Shelby was not good fro you. It is a delicate plant but stands up well here; not like some delicates,
