Will you have trim around the windows that the tile can butt up against? If you don't have window trim, you will need to wrap tile into the window and/or find trim/liner/bullnose pieces to get it to work.

Tons of options, but you need to know what your countertop is. Is it going up the entire wall? Is the hood plaster? Painted white? If you have a photo of your materials to share it would be best. I don’t think I would do ivory with blue lowers, but without seeing anything else not sure what to say. Bedrosians cloe in white or gray will give you some fairly subtle variation - look light.

@susie - It is Quarts Strato Hamstone, with painted white hood - I think the white flash tile is fine, since it has grey in it, however, wife doesnt think so. I think we may invest in a box of each and see what will fit best next to counters.

First, stunning choices so far. Love the inspiration pic of the hood and overall design! Based on the pictures you posted below, the cool white looks better IMO than the ivory. Hope you post again when it's all complete!!

It doesn’t hurt to keep looking for tiles. Many people wait until the countertop is in place to select their backsplash. Seeing it all in your lighting once things are in place will make a difference. Your latest inspiration pick looks like a gray/white combo to me.

@susie - that’s our plan. We like that last pic, as the hood pops as white, but maybe not so busy. We have time and appreciate the options people have posted.

Very subtle difference

I think the gray background may be interfering. Also, your backsplash will be on a different plane from your countertop, but the same plane as your cabinets, so will receive different lighting. You may want to try to put them into those positions.

What is the small light colored wood? I thought you had blue lowers and no uppers.

Here they are with backgrounds removed. Is the large piece of wood your floor? I wouldn't worry about it that much. I would be more concerned with countertop and cabinets.

If you remove the floor, here's what you get:

The ivory brings in the tones of the floor and whatever the other piece of wood is, while the gray seems look best with the countertop and dark cabinet color.

What will your paint be? And yes to looking at things in their correct position. Another vote to wait until your tops are in then post all the options lined up along the counter (vertically)

I have no backsplash yet, as my house is undergoing an entire remodel after sustaining hurricane damage in July. I’ve been shopping for backsplash for months and have changed my mind several times. You can move on and save your comments for someone else.
