There are not many new seedlings left to bloom. I see a couple just putting up scapes, but most of the new ones bloomed early. These first bloomed the last couple of days. I think today was the first morning without a brand new seedling.

(August Frost x Winter's Angel) X Rowena Yaeger - This is the best of the three siblings. I like the white edges on the sepals. The bloom is just under 8 inches.

Unknown X Unknown - The squirrels played games with my labels in this bed. Some of them are mixed up, and some of them disappeared. I suspect this is Crowning Fire X Woman in Red. It was very sunfast at the end of our recent 92-degree day.

Debra, I was sure you had gotten rain! I looked at weather radar and it showed ALL of the Nashville area rain covered. You were probably that one tiny unseen dot without rain. So sorry! You deserve a rant.

That red seedling is so bright. The August Frost seedling must be impressive in a clump. I really like the Maney Augustine seedling. There’s something almost delicate about its appearance.

Kate - Yes, it's hard to believe my yard didn't get anything. It's like being in the Bermuda Triangle. Right now that grandchild of August Frost is just one fan since it's brand new. I was hoping the Maney Augustine seedling would have teeth, but it is a nice bitone. Today it looked more like a bicolor.

Lovely clump of Entwined in the Vine, mine had its 1st scape of the season! Thank you so much for it, I hated so much losing my clump. It was such a nice clump too! Rapture of Love may be my favorite. Neon Flamingo looks good. I got Neon Flamingo a couple years ago, it bloomed both years. It was only 2 fans last year but there are 6 or 7 this year, and blooms are much deeper, brighter and probably twice the size they have been previously. I took pictures which I will show in another post, but it is even brighter in person than my camera saw. My favorite seedlings are Maney Augustine X Bubblegum Queen #2 and Blue-Eyed Bandit X Twirling Tower 2

Your pictures would never show that you got very little rain. Neon Flamingo is one bright daylily. Another good group of seedling pics. I see in my garden that Dearest Valentine is going for another record number of scapes this year.

Julia - I don't take pictures of the ones that have badly browning foliage, and there are plenty of those. It sounds like Dearest Valentine will be a nice clump for you this year!

Nancy - How was the convention? I hope you will share your pictures of the tours. Glad to know your Entwined in the Vine is blooming! Rapture of Love has a magnificent flower, but the plant habit leaves a lot to be desired. I'm trying to cross it with Star Lord. I just hope the pods stay on.

Gorgeous photos as usual, Debra. Neon Flamingo and Entwined itn the Vein look especially good. Mine were not so bright as usual this year for no good reason. I always like Primal Scream too, but there isn't a stinker in the bunch. As for the seedlings: Lovely near white on

I love the Maney Augustine seedling, I always like a pretty bitone. The August Frost seedling caught my eye too, a delicate beauty.

Kay - I think my flowers have deeper color than usual because of the cool weather. I don't ever remember a daylily season when we've had this many cool days and nights in Nashville. Yesterday only got to the mid-70s. Thanks for your comments on so many of them!

Sherry - I do like the looks of the Maney Augustine seedling. It only has a few buds this first time to bloom. I'm keeping that child of my August Frost seedling and culling the other two. If it didn't have such a large bloom, it would get culled too.

Nice Debra! Blushing Escapade is my favorite of the named. Rapture of Love and Neon Flamingo also stand out.

Of the seedlings, Blue-Eyed Bandit X Twirling Tower 2 and Maney Augustine X Bubblegum Queen #2 are the prettiest.

Thanks for your comments, Brad! Blushing Escapade is a pretty shade of pink. Kate was nice enough to share with me when I mentioned it might be a good one to use in pink hybridizing. I haven't been able to use it yet, but maybe tomorrow.
