waterdrops on the daylilies

But dry underneath. We got some more rain during the night, but you look under plants and the ground is not even damp. But more rain is coming supposedly. According to Bowling green weather, we got about an inch, but must have skipped me. I don't have a gauge, but nothing that holds water is just damp. But I do see water drops on flowers, most still look nice. Must have gotten a bit of wind last night, some scapes are leaning.

Boss Lady is finally settling in and looking good.


Christmas in Oz looks more red and brighter than this photo shows, more red than I remember ever seeing it


Last bloom on Cutting Loose


Jurassic Pink is a big one, and looks good for a very 1st bloom here


Heavenly Angel Ice is having the best year it ever has here. Scapes are much taller and better budded than I have ever seen it.

I think I got too close for you to see actual branches on it. It must have heard me talking about getting rid of it.

Greywoods Tallyho, one scape is short but the others are tall and look as usual. Yarrow is working on taking over

tall Blonde has huge flowers this year and branching going on too, although can't see it from this picture. Part of Rip saw down at the bottom


Let the Sea Resound I think. Tag is missing, but I think this must be it.


Vanishing Mist, my clump disappeared over winter, but fortunately I had 3 or 4 prolifs a couple of years ago and they are blooming now.

    Lots of beauties today Nancy! Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed looks good. Boss Lady is a beauty. I have always liked Christmas In Oz. I'm glad you posted it. Tall blond is a nice yellow, and Let the Sea Rebound is lovely. so good that your prolifs gave you the lovely Vanishing Mist back again.

    I can't believe Cutting Loose and Jurassic Pink have such clean blooms for you. I'm glad they look pretty somewhere! I can't pick just one favorite among these, because there are so many I love. Standouts for me are Boss Lady, Christmas in Oz, Greywoods Tallyho and Let the Sea Resound. Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed, Vanishing Mist and Tall Blonde also appeal to me.

    Vanishing Mist is my favorite of these. Good thing you planted the prolifs. I also like Boss Lady.

    Nice blooms today, Boss Lady is my favorite too! I like Tall Blonde, it’s a great yellow, nice shape and edge.

    Good grouping of blooms. I had Boss Lady in NY and it did well. Your showing the true colors of her blooms. Sea Resound I like for the watermark on it. Tall Blonde reminds me of one of Curts I had in NY called Concrete Blonde. I guess some rain is better than no rain.

    Beautiful! Christmas in Oz is my favorite. I am really getting to like the uf cascade look. H. Angel Ice is so pretty. Ours has never performed well. I think we need to move it. I hope that rain comes for you. None in the forecast for us unfortunately.

    Thank you all for your comments. We are getting some real rain now, hope it will be enough. Has been raining close to an hour now, but only hard for the 1st few minutes. More is predicted the next couple of days. I will take all I can get at this time of the year. I love Christmas in Oz, just wish it were a little taller. It is rather spindly too, although that is not so noticeable when it is fairly short. I am so glad I planted those Vanishing Mist prolifs too, Brad! They are now 5 fans, and have done quite well this summer. Can't believe the whole clump disappeared. Tall Blonde is a magnificent plant, just have to see it in person. I have, or had, Concrete Blonde. I moved it, can't find the tag and it has not bloomed. It might not have survived the winter after being moved. But this is much larger and seems to be a better bloomer than Concrete blonde every was for me. Nancy, I think it was Kay who told me Heavenly Angel Ice does not like to be moved. I had to move it a few years ago though, and have not moved it since. It really does look like it is going to do good this year, but it just started blooming. It is probably about the whitest I have, but it has never been much more than out of the foliage here til this year.
