Wow Kate! So many great clump shots today! I was drooling over Royal Girls…..and its purple too! I’m waiting to see more of Substantial Evidence. All of those reds are showing off today!

Me too, Royal Girls just blew me away! I have not gotten Royal Girls, thinking I need to cut back on that form/color, but wow. May have to rethink that plant. Lots of wonderful plants you have, but that just took my breath.

What a difference rain can make, though it can't make up for the low bud count syndrome this year. Tahiti does look very well budded; some are bucking the trend. Royal is a delicious color, though here it does not like the mid-day sun, typical of its color class.

SUPER thread Kate. My goodness what a load of eye candy.. I always say nothing like "liquid gold" to help the garden. Tahiiti Sweetie is one I would not leave behind in NY. It had to come to WV with me. Wish I had gotten more of the Davisson out but it wasn't to be.

Gorgeous post Kate. your Tahitie Sweetie is beautiful, and Royeal girls is trulky spectacular, just as you said. kara Louise is always a beauty and Rich in Mercy is too. Carnival in Mexico looks great. Wonderful post!

Sherry-I have enjoyed Royal Girls so much the last two years. By no design I planted it next to Mean Green and that combination works for me.

Nancy, I know what you mean by purple-I keep saying no more!!

Julia, all the Davissons I have are superb bloomers. I will be glad to share any with you. I don’t blame you for taking Tahiti Sweetie with you-it is hard to capture all the colors in it.

All three of the Davissons at the top of the post are wonderful, But Royal Girls is the most spectacular of all. I love the look of Rich in Mercy. How has it done for you?. I decided not to get it after Laura told me it was a slow increaser and didn't bloom as much as her other Emmerichs. Creature of the Night is so very dark! Kara Louise looks pretty on rebloom.

Mantis, you are right about the purple fades. A trial one endures with reds and purples!

Debra, Rich in Mercy has bloomed fairly well but it is not a fast multiplier. I do have a nice clump of it and of course you are welcome to it if you want some. It is planted next to Megillah which overwhelms it at times!
