I forgot to mention - mine is still only a teenager, and it getting larger all of the time. Right now it is still coming out in its first flush. Also, the leaves are very large as you can see, bright green and shiny, but thin. It does get some mildew, but since I have been giving it more water that has almost disappeared.

Does anyone else who grows this rose have pictures, or comments about it?

Good progression of photos and observation about mildew.

I want to like it but it spots something fierce here on the Central Coast. Pretty flowers, no scent and LOTS of leaf spots. Nothing else spots for me here like B.A. does. It may not hang around much longer. I've had it for quite a few years and it's budded on Pink Clouds.

I learn something new every time I come on to this forum! I wonder if mine is budded on Pink Clouds too - I got it from Jeri, when she offered one at a rose raffle. If it ever sends up a rootstock sucker, I will definitely root it to see - I think Pink Clouds is gorgeous, and I love climbing re-blooming miniatures.

I doubt if it's budded, Jackie. I budded mine from bud wood Jeri brought me back from the Cemetery years ago. Rooting is too hit and miss and can take months. Budding is quick, easy and you KNOW within two weeks if it succeeded or not.

Thank you - I guess I don't have to watch out for Pink Clouds suckers. That's fine with me - I prefer roses on their own roots. The leaves on mine are pretty clean, as you can see from the photos above - maybe it does better on its own roots here?

Would it have been budded originally in 1920? Just curious -
