Flooret Lato Base experience? Pros/Cons?

Hi all,

Moving into a new home and will be replacing approx 1,500 sqft of worn wood laminate on main level and carpet on bedrooms level and basement.

Keen on waterproof LVP with 2 dogs and 2 young kids, and a conscious budget (rather get better quality LVP then low end engineered wood/solid wood).

I received samples from Flooret today, and absolutely love the Lato Base (vs signature). Nice feel, love the micro-bevel, and feels good underfoot. Only concern I have so far is locking system feel a bit weak and susceptible to easy breaking.

I’ll be installing over concrete in basement and plywood sub flooring (after self leveling work is done by my contractor) and was considering a 6mil vapor barrier on main level (sits above crawl space) and basement (concrete slab) plus a 1mm underlayment like a floor muffler, Quiet walk, or sentinel.

Any experience with Lato Base, or any other Flooret Base product would be greatly appreciated! Any worthwhile alternatives for similar look/feel would be great as well.
