Temperatures weren't bad today, but we have had no rain for almost two weeks. Papa Goose is looking good today. Watering is tougher too. Bob was watering overnight, but he doesn't want to damage flowers and destroy pollen.

The Bride of Dracula is a favorite.

This is an offspring of The Bride of Dracula. It is Pineapple Bites X The Bride. It is very similar but has more teeth especially on the sepals. It remains to be seen if it will be a better grower.

Feanorian Lamps is very colorful today.

Here is a nicer photo of Blow a Kiss.

We just planted Bedbug this spring. The flower is a tiny little thing. When it gets established, it's supposed to have 31 inch scapes. I know you all don't like stipples, but I think it is cute.

Braodway Mystique is also a cute little one.

Gift of Life is a small flowered one that I really like.

This is the seedling Queen of the Garden. This is Wolverine X (Happy Holidays to You). It has nice height to the scape.

Thisis the type of seedling that puts you in a dilemma. It was moved last season and this year only has about 11 buds. I didn't take stats last year--just too busy. However, I have never seen so many scapes on one plant. So what it lacks in buds, it makes up by the number of scapes. Is it worthy of introduction? Of course, we will give it a couple more years to see how it develops.It is Pumpkin Prince X Gavin Petit) X Small World Fire in the Hole.

This flower on this seedling is huge on a short scape. It is Spacecoast Pumpkin Power X Deadliest Catch.

This is a small flower. It is my attempt to get a toothy edge on a small tet. It didn't work but it does have a wire gold edge. It is (Little Red Bantam X Heavenly Pink Fang) X (Sea of Cinders X Happy Holidays to You).

Your offspring of Bride of Dracula is prettier BOD. Gift of Life is a pretty one. Wolverine X (Happy Holidays to You is a pretty one, but I really like Pumpkin Prince X Gavin Petit) X Small World Fire in the Hole. the rich colors look good together on that one,

Feanorian Lamps has a neat pattern. My favorite of the seedlings is Pumpkin Prince X Gavin Petit) X Small World Fire in the Hole. I don't think you get an accurate picture of what a seedling can do based on this year. I'd give that one a couple more years to see if the stats improve. I think that high scape density is a valuable trait!

Pumpkin Prince X Gavin Petit) X Small World Fire in the Hole is my favorite too, form and color look good! I hope stats improve, but I agree that scapes make a difference. I have plants that do that, they seem to bloom just as well as the ones with more buds, I am happy as long as there are flowers.

In reality, a lot of cultivars here have only about 10 buds. If they have scape density, I am quite happy. Six or seven--on the fence. Less than six, not at all happy.
