Another cloudy day with possible rain. Behind in posting.

Yesterday it barely got into the 70s. My daylilies are blooming with darker colors, brighter colors, bitones that are not, etc. Some I barely recognize. I feel like I am living in New England! Not a complaint: love it. Some of the ones that started early are still running low on buds or height [but some are normal], but the ones that are shooting up now are looking like they will be normal or better than.

seedling first light x Indian Giver.

Art Gallery Expressionism, show, few buds but nice.

seedling Coral Majority x Elegant Candy. Looks like neither.

Fiordiligi. Love the color more than ever but super short and very low on buds.

Flutterbye, so dark hardly recognized it.

Hot Wheels will not be giving a big show this year. Few scapes, few buds.

Jack Sprat, short, few buds.

Karen's Curls, taller than the past several years.

noid. Nice and lavender, often mauve.

Wow Brad, what a mixed bag of performances. It makes me wonder how things will be here, they are just starting. The white seedling from Indian Giver is lovely! I will have to compare my Fiordiligi (thanks to you) with yours when mine blooms.

The mixed performance is the rule this year, it seems. Some things so extremely well, some tyical and some pitiful. Your seedling, first light x Indian Giver, is my pick today. You have really had some cool weather, haven't you Brad?

I like the color of Fiordiligi. A soft lavender tone. Nice group of blooms your having.

I've got daylily blooms here but most got decimated by the heavy rain which has continued with on and off showers til early this afternoon. Suppose to get more rain again later this evening. 3 days of rain is more than I could ever have wished for.

Performance here is much the same--some are great and some have so few buds or are very short.

The white seedling is very pretty. I also like Hot Wheels and Art Gallery Expressionism. It's too bad they have so few buds.
