Any chance of pix? My first thought is it is planted too deep and two may be branches. Can you see a root flare?

the plant has been sheared ... for the market over the years ...

it does not.. and will not.. grow in that form going forward .. and i suggest you let it revert to its natural form.. over the years...

tree time is counted in decades... so this will take years ...

i dont see anything wrong with your plant.. and i would further suggest you dont fix what isnt broken ...

i might put on some long sleeves and belly crawl under there.. and pull back some of the soil.. and find out where the root flare is as junkie notes.. or do it in fall when the temps are a bit more forgiving ...

Copy. Will leave alone with the exception of crawling under and clearing out some soil down to root flare.
