Blooming today on a sweltering Sunday.

We got a little rain (emphasis on little) early this morning. It was just enough to raise the humidity and along with the 90 degree temps, it was pretty miserable outside. Bob and I were busy at church this morning so we didn't get to the garden until noon so I didn't get many photos.

Jeeper Creepers presented a lovely pattern today. The hybridizer says it always show a pattern and I think she might be right. It is bred from Get Jiggy which rarely shows a pattern here.

Red Lobster is a southern bred one that so far has held its own. It certainly never gets 37 inches tall (registered stats), but it survives. It produces a few pretty flowers every year, but in the interest of downsizing, it probably won't be here long.

Rosemarie Louise is another southern, but it comes closer to its registered stats than Red Lobster does.

Height of Fashion is small flowered on a nice scape.

The Queen of the Garden today is one of Bob's Fulvas. It is ((Fulva Korean X Empire of Dawn) X (Bodacious Bite X Gaudeamus) X Una de Gato.

That's all for me. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow so maybe I'll get more pix.

Rosemarie Louise has to be a Pierce; yes, I see another RFK kid. Interesting to see Jeepers Creepers. As a garden plant, Get Jiggy here was the queen of banality. History, since I don't hybridize.

I like Jeepers Creepers. I have Get Jiggy and it rarely shows a pattern here but last year put on a show with great patterned clumps of blooms. This year it fell victim to late freeze and red insect and I saw not one bloom. Without the pattern it is just another pretty face. But it stays because it can! Bob is getting a lot of queens from his fulva program. That one is very bright. Kudos to him for sticking with that hybridizing program. It appears to be really paying off this year with some outstanding results.

I too like Jeepers Creepers. Nice pattern on it. I always enjoy seeing the seedlings everyone creates. Nice post.

A high five to Bob, such a nice fulva seedling. I cant be as adventurous with those southern seedlings……Im afraid to buy any from Florida etc.

Jeepers Creepers has a neat pattern. It will interesting to see if it does always have a pattern. I have several that hybridizers claim that about, but they don't have patterns here once it's over 90. Rosemarie Louis is beautiful. I always enjoy seeing who the Queen of the Garden is!

I like Red Lobster, and I like Rosemarie Louise which I also grow. bob has done really well with his hybridizing. That one is nice; grat colors and edges.

Jeepers Creepers is indeed eye catching but my absolute favorite is Rosemarie Louise. I just knew it couldn't be that pretty and be a dormant too. I was right - a Pierce Sev. I've lost enough of his already so I'll just have to admire yours. ............Maryl

Rosemarie Louise is my favorite. Nice colors. Bob's seedling is also very nice.
