Hi all..We are going to move into our forever house. We thought we were settled in this house but our son would like us close to where he lives…

We are retired..so are moving to be near our son and family. I would like two large pendants instead of the three mini pendants that are there now. The island countertop measures 8’ by 5’. The only issue I see is that the island countertop extends past the island for seating. The pendants that are there now have been centered over the wood island..not the countertop because it extends. I need to know should I center the two large pendants over the whole countertop or the island underneath like the previous owners did? What size pendants would work with this island? I would like to purchase the pendants now because of how long it takes for delivery. Thank you so much.
