My only experience with fusible batting was a fail.

i was going to use it on quilt but decided I didn’t want to have the glue in the quilt, so I threw the batting in the washer and ran it through a short load. aaach. I opened the washer to a tubful of mush! The entire batting disintegrated. What a mess!

Good thought. Maybe I can buy a small piece and make a sample to throw in washing machine to see how it does quilted. Thanks for the tip Theresa. Sending hugs.

Once I used spray fabric glue on plain old batting.

I did that batting fail very early on in my quilting adventure when I was just setting out and didn’t trust all the ads etc. like ’how could this possibly work?’

But now I do spray basting all the time so I am putting glue into the quilt but I always wash it when it is finished. Glue gone!

I wonder if the fusible batting is manufactured differently than regular batting or if I just got a bad batch.

I have used it, but it isn't as easy as it sounds. I have been happier with spray glue, but think I would bite the bullet and pin.
