Rebloom is in full swing

Rebloom scapes are coming up all over the garden. A couple of lates are beginning and others are completing their bloom.

I mentioned August Wedding in my last post as being a long blooming white. It has put up 9 rebloom scapes and they began blooming the day after the last bloom on first scapes

Count Your Assets on rebloom

Joe the Plumber

Approaching Storm

Ellies Late Show-blooms late and blooms low. You can tell it is late by the ratty foliage.

Thistles and Thorns on rebloom

Flying Fox blooms late. This is a huge flat bloom.

Pinewood Lily Pad showing some red

Another blast of blooms from Laura Harwood

Rebloom on Caribbean Dark Victory

Rebloom on Let Loose

Vitex in full bloom

Profusion zinnias are filling out

Nine rebloom scapes! That's great! Pinewood Lily Pad is an interesting flower. I also like Thistles and Thorns and your zinnias.

You sure have a lot of nice dark purples blooming. The Laura Harwood clump is impressive, and so is Approaching Storm. Its good to see August Wedding reblooming so well. With its lavender purple color, I think Joe the Plumber might be my favorite of all. Your Thistles and Thorns looks so much darker than mine did. I hope mine will rebloom. The zinnias make a colorful border for your daylily beds., and the Chaste Tree is beautiful. Mine is in full bloom now too.

Maryl, I am loving the mass of profusions this year. Last year I only had the two colors so am glad to have so many different ones this year. The ones from saved seed are very close to last year’s color. I checked photos last year and the last one in October showed some ratty leaves but you had to love closely as they were still totally covered in blooms. I am liking the unusual look on Pinewood Lily Pad.

Debra, yes, I think I went heavy on the purples in this post!!! I noticed that as well. I did not even take a picture of Thistles and Thorns on first bloom. It and Skater are so much prettier on rebloom.

I like Joe the Plumber, the color is appealing. Laura Harwood is showing off for you! I divided my clump by three fall of 2021. The ”original” clump is big again, hoping it blooms well. Approaching Storm is gorgeous too…I like the white edge on that dark purple.

The reblooms are wonderful, aren't they? Your Laura Harwood is exceptional. August Wedding is doing some magic there. I like Pinewood Lily Pad since it is different. You Zinnias lookd wonderful. Great post, Kate.

Sherry, I have three clumps of Laura Harwood as well. All three look like this. It seems the more you divide, the faster it multiplies!

Kay, August Wedding has been very good this year. Pinewood Lily Pad is different. Sometimes I like different! Here is a huge bloom on August Wedding this morning. The edges were really pretty.

Catching up on posts. I like Pinewood Lily Pad. Different but draws attention. Nice photo of it. August Wedding has that nice form and edge on it. Korth produced some really nice daylilies. Your zinnias are looking good. They look different from what I grow here. I'll have to look up the ones you grow.

I had August Wedding at one time, it did well for years then just didn't seem to do well. Maybe I needed to move it, but I got rid of it. Still like Pinewood Lily Pad, I do like different. Laura Harwood really looks good. I got Thistles and Thorns last fall and really like it. I don't think mine had as nice an edge as yours. Maybe next year.

Julia, these are the Profusion series of zinnias. They are not for cutting, more like knockout zinnias where they throw the blooms off and continue to bloom in masses and form a huge round ”ball”. I grow other zinnias as well and am pleased with the traditional State Fair zinnias this year-they are huge.

Nancy, Thistles and Thorns really looks mch better on rebloom. I’m sorry August Wedding did not perform well for you. It has been a workhorse here.
