Flooring choices

I have cream tile throughout my house but need new flooring for 3 bedrooms. I think I love a polished carrera white with light grey streaks since one room has a lot of light.

Does that combination of a cream tile everywhere and with this light with grey tile only in the bedrooms look bad? Is it a mistake? Other ideas?

I assume that your bedrooms have doors that can be closed so that the two tiles are not seen with each other.

In that case, technically you can use the white tile with the cream.

That being said, personally I would not do it because you are not really going to keep the bedroom doors closed all the time.

What color would you say would look good with the cream tiile?. I cant afford to replace the cream too.

I have exactly the same tile in my kitchen, entry hall and 1/2 bath off the kitchen.

However, I have wood floors in the living, dining and hallway leading to the bedrooms. All bedrooms and the two bathrooms have large white tile (looks like yours but mine is not marble).

The bedrooms border the wood floors and all look fine.

You could use a tile saddle which blends both colors like a darker white with brown streaks to tie both colors in.

I think you should stay in the same lane of the warm tile you already have. Have you considered LVP flooring instead?

This is the transition in a neighbor's home:

Hardwood or good LVP make more sense in bedrooms, but if you prefer tiles then choose warmer color.

Do you say that because of comfort on the feet? My mainl goals are to find non toxic flooring- with a Greenguard certificate or something equal, also highly waterproof since we have a bathroom in between that has overflowed and seeped into the walls and floor, but I hope to find something beautiful too. I imagine LVP has water proof products that are non toxic in their glue and plank.

Thank you for the info. Where did you find these samples?

    Tile floors are not "waterproof".

Water resistant, yes, but a major water leak in the house will damage any floor and they will all have seepage into walls.

I would make sure you have the bathroom problem fixed before you get any new floors.

LVP is a good option because it’s normal to see in new builds wood floors in bedrooms and tiles in the rest. This tile in the picture I installed in my master bathroom, it’s way nicer in person. I ordered it locally. if you want I can find you information about it, but it’s 24x 48. It’s might come in smaller size as well.

I do understand that it is not waterproof. I should have said water resistant, but I do know I don’t want carpet and want water resistant as much as possible, in addition to non-toxic materials. We don‘t have an official leak/water problem, it’s just over time, and many people coming to the house, things can happen.

Lila, is the picture of the 3 tiles all from the same floor?

No to that tile. Doesn't go with anything in your house.

Yes it’s all from same tiles, different prints. In person the vines are more grayish brown and beige. Here is a life picture:
