Maybe our process re shed color might be useful for you re thinking about this issue.... When we moved here back in 1999, the shed was a wood-colored rather derelict thing that DH could not stand upright in other than in the very center. There were also tree seedlings growing out of the roof and skunks trying to take up residence under it! That got replaced with a taller structure that we painted dark blue with white trim - looked nice but did not blend in very well. Then we saw a nice blended-in shed on a garden tour that made me rethink what I needed to do.... Essentially I came to see the shed needed to be treated as a big evergreen thing where the upper and outer edges were a lighter shade; the body a medium shade; the inner parts a darker shade. So I took some pictures of the area with its trees and shrubs and went to a paint store. I looked for sample chips in the light/medium/dark greens that blended well with the green in the pictures I took. The specific colors you choose will depend on the plantings in your yard and the light conditions you have - the 'blending-in' of the colors will also vary with the time of year and weather-related light levels etc. so my colors might not work for you - and I still think the colors need a bit of adjusting if we ever get around to painting the shed again....

I would darken the light trim a tad and darken the door color a bit more but, on the whole, we like this blending-in approach. Is that the sort of thing you want to do?
