That's not the kind of floral arrangement used on a dining room table

Your foyer mirror is too small

The foyer accessories need to be curated for the size of your console table.

Can you change out the dining room fixture for something less brutal in proportions?

The flowers are beautiful and so is the room! I see why you want something that will really add to your elevated space! I have some ideas, just sent you a DM!

Your dining room feels light and breezy, so I’d look for art that continues that feel.

I hope you’ll pick artwork that has meaning for you and not just picked out of a catalog.

I'm shocked by the first post. Not because I don't know the interet is like this but you have a lovely room already and its very inviting.

Could you go for something like this in the dining room?

I'd add a tall tree to one side -- or maybe frame it with two!

As for the entry area, I'd rethink it to be more functional because most people really do need that space to put down stuff or keep stuff. That doesn't mean constant clutter. But it's okay if it's empty and maybe just has an attractive bowl or catchall or tray on one side.

Actually Levenger's sells a note "bleacher" where you can leave notes, letters you shouldn't forget to mail or mix in a favorite photo or postcards.

I would also want some kind of umbrella holder under the console. I'd put a walking stick in there too but I like to use them.

But I wouldn't put flowers or books or candles. (I might go for a great flaslight!)

Well there are some good suggestions here. I guess maybe it pays to wait for the original poster to come back and give some feedback. I hope she wasnt discouraged by the tone.

Priya, your dining room is absolutely gorgeous! And despite the snippy comment above about your floral arrangement, it looks just fine. There are no "rules" about what one can and cannot have on their dining table.

Instead of focusing on a piece of "decorator art", I would encourage you to consider what you truly love and hone in on a piece of artwork for that wall that will be something you love to look at every day. If you can find something beautiful that speaks to you in a personal way or has some relevance to your family, it will be all the more meaningful. Choosing artwork based on the fact that the colors match your furnishings is a surefire way to create a generic and often lifeless room. Artwork that is truly something you love helps to bring your personality into a space, and isn't that what most of us are trying to do when we decorate our homes? I suggest you don't rush into buying something for that wall just to get it filled. Take your time and explore options. Find what YOU love. I'll bet you'll be happy you did. :-)

I rarely like sets of art they remind me of hotel rooms but i also never choose art for anyone. Go to gallery with your SO and see what you both love . The go on art.com and see what comes up that you both love if original art is not in the budget . We stapped buying prints years ago nad hve slowily bought original art we both love we also make it a rule to meet the srtist is is fun way to add art to your home It does not have to"go with" anything you just need to love it,

Change the vase to black, shorter and stouter. Then rearrange the greens.

Do you have a ceiling light in the entry? I would prefer to see your ceiling like there and then go for something airier.

It looks like you could easily add window treatments, artwork, some more lighting and plants. Take a moment to look at our designs included here:
