I would add a large piece of art or textile to the wall along with a cabinet and new light fixture.

I'd have a mini-fridge full of cold beverages...welcome home! OK...just goofing. You have a really pretty home. Do you like a soft feeling to calm you after work? Or do you want a "let's start the party" vibe?

I really like the shade of orange that I see repeated in this space. If it's not too bright, I'd like to see a little more of it and the wine red in the area rug. Also, I like the two chairs and table at the end of the hallway. It would be nice to have an area rug there too. And it would be nice to center the rug, furniture and wall art. Right now, they are slightly out of alignment.

What I like most is the family pictures by the door. Always good to start and end the day with a reminder of family. 

What do you think about more color? Would that be too stressful after work? Do you have a wall that could be a feature wall painted that beautiful orange?

Looking again, I wondered if you could paint two walls. One would be the one with the family photo arrangement. The other is just opposite with the wood stair tread highlighted with wood. From what other rooms are these visible. Would either have orange or wine you could repeat?
