Garden shots and new blooms

Two of my backyard beds….a small corner bed and a larger bed in the middle of the yard.

A few new blooms today.


Sailor Sky is early


Woman at the Well with extra ruffles.


Itza Pink Teddy.


When My Sweetheart Returns.


El Desperado is pouting over a move.


Nosferatu, a rare clean first bloom on a purple.


Night Embers, low bud count this season.


A few nice clump shots.

Purple Paw Print is having a good season…has been my bud queen in the past.

Stephanie Returns

Faber Saber, a star in the garden this season.

Dances With Giraffes keeps pumping out the blooms.

    That looks good to have so many daylilies blooming together at the same time. I always wish the flowers lasted longer, but when you have a lot of them then it looks so pretty.

      What a great post Sherry. Love the garden shots. The blue color just makes the whole thing pop..........Every winter when I'm deciding about new daylilies I think about your Night Embers. It's a Stamile and that's one of the reason's it has stopped me up til now. Stamile's ironically (since they were Florida hybridizers) don't have staying power in my hot climate. The substance and the color begin to melt by mid afternoon on so many I have tried. But I sure like it in your pictures. Maybe some day.....Your Stephanie Returns is another one I like. I've seen many variations of the color on the data base, but the one you show is my favorite....Nosferatu is a good looking purple, and Dancing with Giraffes still makes me smile.....................Maryl

      I always like seeing garden shots. Yours are lovely. Purple Paw Prints looks like it will give you lots of clumps. Faber Saber and Dances With Giraffes both have pretty clumps.

      Your two garden shots are lovely. I wish I had some beds that looked so weed free. I think Faber Saber and Mage Quest are my favorites. Dances With Giraffes and Lollipop Kisses are very nice too!

      interesting garden ornamentation. and stone pathways are always inviting. The platycodon contrasts nicely with your hot daylilies. So carefully tended. An oasis in a hot summer, I am sure. The beds exude the joy of gardening. Of course, we know what hard work is necessary. Too bad that Mother Nature did not cooperate this year.

      Great clump and yard shots. Really enjoy them. Such a nice round garden in the middle. My favorite flowers are Nosferatu and Paw Paw Print.

      Love the garden shots. The beds look so beautiful. Two yellow UFs are my favorite today, Faber Saber and Dances with Giraffes. What a nice path near it!

      I love those garden shots, Sherry, can't get past them! My Sailor Sky is fading now, it had fewer blooms than usual.

      Beautiful garden shots! My favorites today are Stephanie Returns and Dances with Giraffes. Our Dances with Giraffes is not quite up there with the giraffes, but I have been enjoying it nonetheless.
