(Karelia X Palace Garden Beauty) X Unk - This one did pretty well this season. It usually has a bud count of 24-28, but this year most scapes had 15-17. It started blooming when it was cooler, and it was interesting to see how ornate the pattern was then. Unfortunately in the cool temps it did not open well.

Sensational Heart has it's last instant rebloom flower today.

White Eyes Pink Dragon had short scapes this time and did not bloom on about a third of the fans.

I really like Mayans Dawn X The Ultimate Sacrifice seedling. the watermark really grabbed my attention. The red does not look like it has any orange in it, which makes it even more attractive. I also like Pink Extraordinaire X Cexy Samantha 2 seedling. I love the double edge of gold and then the watermark color on the edge. Does it hang up with all of those ruffles?

Someone north of here reports no ill effects this season, but his season is just underway. Dryness here has exacerbated problems, but the origins certainly go back farther. You are fortunate to benefit from rebloom. However, stunted plunts here are also not growing well. It's a mixed bag, of course, but one always hopes for a stellar year after all the preparatory work.

Is #2 your best $exy Samantha seedling?

Mantis - Pink Ex 2 and Pink Ex3 (the pink one) are equally good in my opinion. But neither has shown me more than 13 buds at this point. Pink Ex 3 is taller - 28 inches- and the bloom is 7+ inches. Pink Ex 2 has a 6.5 inch bloom on 22-24 inch scapes. Both have instant rebloom and set pods well. They are both super multipliers, but Pink Ex 3 has multiplied more.

David - Mayans Dawn X The Ultimate Sacrifice is a shade of red without any orange in it. The problem with that one is the height. Where I originally had it, it was 24 inches tall. But after I moved it, it was always shorter. The grubs may have gotten to the roots, or it may just be the weather the past two seasons that account for its shorter stature. Pink Ex 2 has no problems opening here, but it's always pretty hot when it blooms. Farther north, it might not open as well.

All in the first post so beautiful very hard to pick a favorite, Memphis maybe, and Tart is a great color combo, oh and Moon Shimmers! Arctic Lace is always a favorite (it's still my all time favorite daylily and it even reblooms once in a while!)

Seedlings: I like Sp Francis one, very pretty. Pink x Cexy 2 all I can say is Wow. Lots and lots going on, and everything is gorgeous. I just realized it's the same cross with the pink one I picked the other day. I love this kinda edges but sadly here more often than not they tangle, badly. Carolina's seedling - how different they look but both pretty. Always love white (light) seedlings, and Zuzu x Valentine's one is no exception. And Mayans - what a nice clean color and I like the form and it's late too!

Same story here with blooms and reblooms. Although I always lots of rebloom it seems this year I have had rapid rebloom with many on their third cycles.

I am still liking Orchid Linen and Memphis is always a winner. I think that is why I like Ruth Watkins Davidson.The SC Francis Busby and Pink Ex seedling are so pretty. The Mayans Dawn seedling also offers a lot!

I too always have a lot of rebloom but this is the first time I have had so many put out three and four sets of scapes. Two of my new ones that did not bloom during the regular season decided to bloom here very late in my season. Dales Treasure and now my new Jazz after Five has scapes. Heaven;ly Angel Ice did not bloom at all. You already know I like the Francis Busby seedling and the Cexy Samantha ones too.

Kay - I had nearly 20 that did not bloom at all. If we get more rain later this week, I expect some of those will scape. I'm glad you're getting so much rebloom. My rebloom is mostly on the seedlings which were fertilized and regularly hand watered during the dry weeks. Thanks for your comments on the seedlings.

Kate - Both you and Kay are getting multiple reblooms this season. Ruth Watkins Davidson does look like she could be the little sister of Memphis.

Nat - I'm surprised Arctic Lace is your favorite daylilly. I figured your favorite would be one of the many purple Emmerichs you grow. Thanks for all the seedling love!

You know I love your seedlings, more lovely examples today. I find it interesting how yours and other southern growers nere are getting this extra? rebloom after this weird season. I wonder if I will see anything unusual here.

I have lots of plants with few scapes or did not bloom at all, but, sadly, so far no additional bloom from them. The Ultimate Sacrifice had a rebloom scape and is now putting out another. I do have more rebloom than usual at least.

Coco's Curiosity is my favorite of the named, Tart with a Heart is a close 2nd. Pink Extraordinaire X Cexy Samantha 2 is ;my favorite of your seedlings, with Mayans Dawn X The Ultimate Sacrifice runner up. Great job on your seedlings!

Nancy - It's good that you have more rebloom than usual. I'm still waiting for my Ultimate Sacrifice to bloom the first time, In the past, it was always a strong rebloomer for me. Poor Coco's Curiosity is having an awful year. A cultivar that has gotten 26-28 buds in the past this year has only 4-8. Of all my intro's, Coco was the most severely impacted by extreme weather. Sherry - I don't have much rebloom on my registered cultivars. The rebloom is mostly in the seedling beds that I have watered regularly in May, June and July. I'm not getting the multiple rounds of rebloom that Kay and Kate are getting, probably because we haven't had as much rain here as they have. Thanks for your seedling love!

Debra, the purples are great of course, but Arctic Lace has a lot of pluses in addition to being beautiful and staying a nice size. Too bad Karol doesn't do whites lol
