I think wait until the moratr is done I would not do white mortar and why a door where you cannot see out ? I think wait for door color untle all else is figured out for the rest of the exterior and for sure the porch . I also hope that brick goes all the way around because really it right now looks like it was a fter thought and stuck on.

I vote for something fun- like red, orange or green. Something that stands out. If I couldn't have matched my front door, window accents and garage door I would have gone with a fun color.

Pretty house! A great stained door always looks good as long as you make sure the stain color on the floor is harmonious with the stain on the door (matching a mahogany door with a white oak floor isn't as easy as you'd think). If you have tile right inside the door it isn't so much of a concern.

We see alot of white modern farmhouses in our part of Tennessee and I think a beautiful green door always looks fresh and welcoming. Calke Green by Farrow and Ball is a great color with a little softness. Even a British racing green looks great!

The brick doesn't appear to wrap around the house, and the brick color doesn't complement the house (too pink), so if it were my house, I would paint the brick the same white color as the house, and use a pretty deep teal paint color on the front door. I would also wrap the posts in brick and paint them white; the posts look small now in comparison with the size of the house. I don't believe a wood stain on the door would complement the black and white color scheme of the house - it needs something more contrasting. Your house has great potential to be beautiful!

I have a similar style house and debating the same thing. I am leaning towards a blue like this picture below called blueprint by Behr. We are just about finished witj the build, so I need to decide soon!

Thank you all for the suggestions! The brick wraps around to the left side, but not inside the front walls(I inquired today about the possibility of doing it but might be too late). The brick definitely looks more pinkish in this picture, but in person it’s not too pink. This was a backup brick since the original one we wanted was back ordered, so I think we can make it work/look better with landscaping and trees. I do think the white grout in the brick will help the color blend immensely.

Since we paid extra for a door that we can stain, they suggest going with a wood stain color, and paint it black after if we don’t love it. I’m more sure I have it in me to do one of those bold colors like green/blue/red, but they really pop and look great.

Also great suggestions with the porch post. We were thinking just build them out and go white so they blend, but I didn’t think about the brick possibility.
