Sharing "Winterizing" Techniques

We winterize the house for winter vacancy therefore we will want to do the same with our W1 Miele. We used RV antifreeze in our old top loader however I am hesitant to run this type of maitenance on this machine as there is nothing in the manual that talks about this topic.

I would like to hear from others who shut down a home for winter and what procedure works for them. I included what I think are typical preparation steps.

Run a TwinDosCare cleaning cartridge or an empty TwinDos container to clear any detergent in the hoses. Cleaning the water-inlet filters and disconnect the inlet hoses, unscrew the drain filters to let the water out. Consider stop using the machine a few weeks prior to closing up the house to allow all water to evaporate. The heat pump dryer has the drain hose connected to the same drain as the washer so no issues there that I can think of.

Last winter was mild and we didn't get below 32 degrees F in the house however there is no guarantee that will happen again and the lowest we've seen in the house is in the teens for a stretch of a day or two therefore we want to ensure we don't have any damage to the washing machine.

Thanks in advance for suggestions that have proven successful.
