help replacing kitchen cabinet hinges

We decided to repaint our kitchen cabinets. In doing so, we’re swapping the hardware to brushed nickel. We thought we had found hinges that would work (one hole would need to be re-drilled) but upon closer inspection, I’m not sure these will work. The cabinets are likely quite old. I added a photo of the cabinets “before” so the door style is visible, the 2 hinges (the silver hinge on top was the new one and the bronze hinge on the bottom are the current hinges), and a photo of how the new hinges don’t quite fit into the doors. These are Liberty inset hinges without springs. We really thought they would work but they’re just a little off. I’m looking for possible solutions here; all are welcome.
