Dining table light fixture

Hi,
I know that the light fixture over the dining table is usually measured with respect to the width of dining table
But I want to get a linear chandelier like shown. What should the ratio of the fixture be relative to the length of dining table? is 1/2 or 1/3 of the dining table too small? Thanks!
