Thank you so much!! I was worried about the rug. 😬 It’s gorgeous and I just had it cut to fit the room but something about it doesn’t feel right to me. I like the idea to incorporate blue in the rug and I would love to keep the furniture light. Pinterest had me thinking about black furniture like this, but I’m worried it would make the room feel too dark:

I think 4 chairs around a coffee table would be perfect since your room appears to be almost square. I like your current chairs if you can find 2 more. Maybe you can use the rug in another area? I don't think you actually need a rug there at all since you would be walking over the edges to get into the other room. Light fabric chairs, a coffee table, and maybe a few pieces of art on the wall are all you need. The coffee table would be the focal point. Maybe add a beautiful tray to the table.

I like the new rug. I think you just need bold patterned curtains with some blue for the plain window, a coffee table, and art for the walls.

It looks like you have MCM furnture so maybe bring the bue into the space with a different rug and a nice cream sofa and pillows to go with the new rug. Maybe something like this for the rug enough other colors to allow some choice for the sofa . I also think some art on the walls can be a good place for color choices.
