Love the ceiling beams - are they structural?

Or have they been added for aesthetic reasons? And I wonder what have you used between the beams - tongue and groove? It looks great!

    Hi Lucy,

The beams along with the tongue and groove ceiling were already part of the structure when I came in to do the furnishings and design. The house was kept in most of it's original state and I remember we could not put can lighting into the ceiling as there was not space between the ceiling and roof lines. I am assuming this is the structure along with the aesthetic! Easy to add a tongue and groove (otherwise known as board and bat or shiplap) to any new or existing ceiling as well as foam beams can be placed if your ceiling is high enough!

    Good luck, Holly
