kitchen design dilemma

Going to renovate my kitchen and want to get rid of the dust bunnies and go to the ceiling with cabinets but just realized some parts of the existing cabinets jut out beyond the current bulk head and need to stay that way as we will use the existing appliances.
I’m looking at it today, I thought how the heck am I going to go the bulk head ceiling portion in these areas that stick out? Has anyone had experience with this? Will it look odd to go the ceiling in the middle but not in the areas where I need the existing room for the fridge and washer/dryer (on the other side)?
Thanks in advance for your input and look forward to thoughts.
