Love the terraces/levels. Very nice.

I have about a dozen glads that have returned for me for almost 15 years, much to my surprise. Most of them grow *fairly* straight, but a couple always face-plant. I suppose I could stake them but it's kinda far down on the garden chore list. I just cut them (even the face-planted ones lol) and bring them inside!

Same. I have them in rows in the vegetable garden (same as many of the tulips). They are very fleeting in a border - I treat them as a crop and initially planted them at 2 week intervals so I could pick them throughout summer, but lately, they have tended to just appear in one big wave. I don't stake them - they bulk up very quickly, making numerous daughter offsets. Like you, Dee, mine have been effortlessly returning for about as long - they support each other, to some extent, and a few wayward drunken glads are fine in my book as I can be a bit...disturbed... by the weirdly artificial look of large garish flowers (such as zinnia, bearded iris, border tulips and such). I am reassured by bad behaviour, iykwim.

Very well managed space, L.Clark. Growing in tiny beds can be really challenging - I also grow quite a few annuals - so easily shuffled in and out of small spaces, quick and cheap to raise from seeds, invaluable to sustain (my) interest and most importantly, it is easy to be ruthless when they start to look a bit less than stellar. Pffft, away into the compost bin!
