Would you consider a gray/green for the trim? It could be really nice with your brick. Something similar to the Dried Thyme here.

Have the sidewalk and porch floor pressure washed before deciding on trim colors. It'll be lighter and probably less gray.

Two small end tables would be convenient to set summer drinks on the porch.

When it's pumpkin time in your area, a fall wreath with natural leaves, bittersweet, and multicolor corn etc. would go well with two or three big pumpkins. Fake or real:

I would not change the existing trim color. Change the door color to work with the entry tile and the roof and stick with that one color.

I would angle the seating in the corner, or turn it at a 90 degree angle against the side wall, and give it a chair placed in front of the windows to converse with, plus add a small little round table. Let the pooch sit by the seating. Right now, the dead-on forward-facing placement of the seating isn't really attractive for a visit or enjoyment of the space. Here's an interesting chair to add if it isn't too low.

I'd add potted snake plants where that gray box is sitting now and visible house numbers above it unless you already have them visible elsewhere. I'd invest in a portable rechargeable table or floor lamp so I could carry it outside at night to enjoy the corner space.

I think your present trim color is fine, and if you change it, don't change it to something dark. You need a really good water-soak-up door mat -- black would be fine, make it large enough -- but I would skip wall decor or holiday decorations.

If you know what the existing trim color is, I think you just need to go a shade or two darker. I don't think any of the colors you have sampled are going to look good once they're all over. Dark colors are "in," but your brick is so light I think dark trim would be too severe looking. I think the brick is very attractive. You could change the color of the door, but the brown isn't bad. The stamped concrete porch is not great - maybe a good cleaning would improve its appearance. Maybe this is something that was popular when it was done, but plain concrete would look better.

Have you tried playing around with colors on an imaging/photo editing app? I know some of the big paint companies offer that capability on their websites. In the photo, the color on the far right looks to match your roof, which might look good - or not. It's hard to visualize from just a small section like that.

I think having seating that isn't blocking the window would be better too.

And what about plants - in the ground and in pots? Something with some height would add interest.

Tracy, I do agree your existing trim color is fine. It works with both the mortar color and lightest color from the bricks. Seeing more of the house could help. Do you actually use the bench and/or have need for seating there?

We don't really sit there. I'm in Texas and the porch is directly in the evening sun.

Hello, fellow Texan! I understand your dilemma — our front door area gets afternoon/evening sun, too. These triple digits and searing, scorching sun are brutal. I burned my hand on our door handle recently.

It’s hard to say about trim color without seeing the entire house.

I’d love to change our front door and trim color to something darker, but it would quickly fade.

I can’t see your yard but am wondering if some landscape changes might provide a more welcoming feel coming up to your entry? You could also have some colorful pots out (Talavera, glazed pots, etc) with hardy plants like lantana and portulaca. I usually have mandevilla in pots out front — they got burned up this summer.

What style(s) of decorating do you like? Have you saved any inspiration photos?

if you don't think you'll sit there, you might consider a row of varied planters instead.
