I think it is fine to mix the finishes. I think black hinges/handle are going to look too heavy with the lightness of your basket weave and light veined tile.

What is the shower floor? The bathroom floor is the basket weave? Or the shower floor?

Why would you switch/worry ON HINGES AND HANDLE....on a frameless shower, when the decision on the hardest to change is already matte black - meaning shower valve, diverter etc.

I like a repeat of a bathroom floor on shower walls in large format - a very spacious / unified feel. Unclear which/where the basket weave is going and your vanity top is what?

Hi Jan - basketweave tile is the bathroom floor, but we needed a non polished surface on the shower floor and that tile didn’t come in matte. So we are using the shower wall tile in 2x2 size matte finish on shower floor.

The more I read online, it may not be that big a deal to change the shower door hardware and hinges down the line. That would make matte black for the shower door the easy choice

IMO no black a nice chrome or stainless is IMO much more timeless than the black trend. I would not have done the basket weave of the bathroom floor but now IMO keep the rest simple and easy to do decor with .

I think you will not love that basket weave on the floor with the 2 x2 mosaic in the shower.. I'd be inclined to simply repeat the 2 x2 on the bathroom floor. A lot less visual disruption, and a lot less busy with matched grout.

I avoid more than two tiles in a bath, whenever I can.

Your worry on shower handle and hinge is truly pointless. If that worried? Change the Kohler Tone lav faucets, and the shower plumbing to CHROME, repeat it in hinges and handle and know it has been used for a hundred years!

Then use the matte black finish as JUST the accent in cabinet hardware, towel bars, lighting, mirror etc.

I just realized that the wall tile photo I originally attached is different/busier than what we actually picked. Here is a somewhat better pic where you can see the basketweave against the wall tile. Ignore the vanity setup, which was just the display in the store. To my eye, the basketweave looks classy as a floor pattern with the large simpler style of fhe shower wall.

I would recommend larger format tiles for the floor,  except in the shower.  You will have fewer grout line to maintain and it will be a cleaner look.  But I recognize that's very much a personal preference.  Independent of that,  your color choices go nicely together.
