I want to go to that antique store! I love antique stores, and have way to much old decorative china like that in my Victorian house (my DH said I should start a china shop). You might think that the owner of that store collected all of the rose things on purpose - no, there is just that much decoration involving roses on old china. It has got to be the #one subject - the rose really has been beloved for hundreds (probably thousands) of years. Thank you so much for the tour, Brandon - I spotted several unusual pieces I would like to more about. Did you purchase anything?

@jacqueline9CA unfortunately, no we didn’t buy anything. Hershey was the first part of our trip and we still had several more days left on our vacation, so trying to travel with it would have been difficult

I haunted antique stores and malls for decades and still have a few of those large platters with floral decorations, until I fell into a passion with antique Chinese porcelain from the 1800's, which was almost never found there. I then segued into e-bay and auction sites, where I spent untold amounts on useless porcelain which however gives me immense pleasure even now, when I no longer collect. The educational journey alone made it worth every penny. Furnishing the mind turned out to be every bit as compelling as furnishing my living room. Not so different, it turns out, than my passion for (mostly) antique roses, which have led me down an equally fascinating garden path.
