We are buying a vacation home in Oregon (primary residence is in the Midwest). The house is 30 years old and needs new flooring in the great room, kitchen, hallway and bathrooms which currently have carpet and vinyl sheet. The total square footage of replacement flooring is about 1,000 sq. ft. I have been looking at LVP, specifically Home Depot's Lifeproof product because I am shopping remotely and have access to samples here. However, with the existing pine window trim and beams and maple cabinetry, I am having trouble finding the right color in a 20+ mil product. I watched a quality comparison video created by an installer who said Mannington was a superior product because of its heavier locking mechanism, but again, I am not finding an option that is amber enough. Any ideas for a flooring that will be low-maintenance and retain its appearance for 15 years of seasonal use in a gritty soil environment? We would like to keep the cost under $8,000 installed - I am hoping to take advantage of Labor Day sales.
