I like the first leafy mirror in the hall. If choosing one mirror only I prefer this syle and location to living room mirror which leaves me a bit cold.

Hard to tell from the photos, BUT if when you walk in the reflection on the mirror is of your backpacks and purses hanging on your mud room bench, then definitely no mirror in this spot!

Not loving the butterfly. I would keep looking.

What I think would look better is a much larger mirror over the sideboard. You have plenty of width and height to go larger.

Thank you lisaam. I am choosing one of the 3 i posted for the entryway.

The living room mirror is staying as is; i was showing it so people could see what is existing in the space already.

i am not sure if having a mirror in the entryway, in addition to the existing living room mirror would be too many mirrors if I chose one if the 2 mirrors i am considering for the entryway. I am not sure if a mirror or the butterfly art would be better.

Go with the leafy one. The butterfly mirror is a little crudely done and kind of juvenile. The big butterfly looks like it's missing the center section. Maybe I just have a thing about insect anatomy, but these bug me :P

The leafy one is nicer. It sort of echoes the living room mirror in a complementary way and it isn't too much mirror but is good enough to check your hat before you go. Whatever it reflects will constantly change with the viewer--I don't see a requirement to reflect something special here. Nobody hangs out in the hall, right?

I prefer #1. It’s lovely and the small bit of mirror will nicely reflect light from the front door.

I understand your hesitation about having two round mirrors in view together. IMO #1 is the nicest piece, but the butterfly could work as well. Definite no to the butterfly mirror-not as nice and shows too much of the entry bench area.

it is a very tight/small entryway, so I thought a mirror would help reflect some light as well/ enlarge the look .

but then I second guessed it when the living room mirror went ip, I didnt want a house of mirrors/ fun house look 😂

Seems like the leaf miror is rhe preferred oprion . there are good points brought up…. small mirror, will add refelctive light, compliments living room mirror. And yes, the tree hall does change when bags are removed , its empty. A good point, though brought up that no one stands around in the hall, so the reflection shouldn't be that much of an issue. It was a good thing to point out about the bags reflecrion though, because if it was a room that you use often, , I agree it would be an eyesore.

how about a sunburst mirror? I am not a fan of your silver choices.

sunburst murrors are pretty. I am not opposed to them. Do you have any suggestions?

i need silver, as i have silver accents in my home. I dont have gold. i also like silver. 😊

Thanks chloebud. Yes, I was about to add that I thought the leaf design looked pretty with the ceiling paper. I thought about and like sunburst mirrors, but I chose the leaf and butterfly decor because I thought either of the “natural” decor would compliment the floral ceiling.

I think the hall needs a bit more contrast than one more silver object

I think that space is too narrow for a mirror of any sort, so no criticism of your mirrors. I'd go with a non-mirrored wall decor. If you want a mirror there for a quick-check out the door, make it a smaller flashy ornate one, with another piece of sparkly ornate decor to pair with it

the leaf mirror is a small mirror; the mirror itself is small and the leaves surrounding it are a mix solid silver and mirror leaves.

i think this one could work , as it is similar to what you are describing.

Another vote for the leaf mirror.

I like having a mirror next to an entry for last minute checking when going out.

Of the 3 choices, I like the first one best as well, but IMPO, a rectangular or oval shape might fit the space even better...

I still think the overall effect of the leaf mirror is to make the entire surface look like one large mirror, so it's a bit overwhelming for the size of the space, creating a feeling of wanting to step back to take it in, but there isn't enough room to step back. Opposite the closet is a logical place for a face-check mirror, but it should be one you want to step toward to look into, not back away from. I don't think art would look good on that wall either for the same reason of wanting to step back, but a piece of flash metal wall decor that buys into the shower of flowers on the ceiling would work.

This is the size rectangular mirror I'd go for, next to the door, set lengthwise, followed by a piece of botanic metal art. I'd get a basically rectangular mirror, more horizontal than vertical, the same shape as your door glass.

as of now, i actually havent made up my mind. The leaf mirror is the best out of what I have, I I do like it, and I may very well choose that in the end, but I am open to other ideas and still looking for options.

I am not sure of the many ornate things you saw in my hone, as I dont have ornate taste., and any pics i have posted if projects havenr been ornately decorated ( ?)

i dont have black in the next room. the sideboard and console is a burgundy wood. The pics dont show rhe color well, so I could understand why it may appear black, but its not.

I don’t care for the mirrors. Not enough space to reflect anything properly.

I was expecting to see hanging textile samples when I opened this thread. That’s what I would hang to give warmth and softness. Maybe even color.

If it were me I would probably wait till I found something unique & whimsical that I loved - I don’t think that spot is crying out for something - Etsy is a great source for art. I could also see an oversized silver plated vintage tray hung there (mixing in some older pieces with patina help a room feel more curated)

Of course I wasn’t recommending that specific piece; I was just looking for something opposite of the hard lines/texture of a mirror or metal butterfly. Here’s something more sophisticated. Roam around online and see what you can see. Have fun.

The mirror over the sideboard seems too small for that space. You could move that mirror to the entry and purchase a bigger piece of art for over the sideboard.

I love your ceiling! Very pretty. Of the three options, I like the first leafy mirror the best. I think the mirror is quite lovely and works fairly well with the celiing wallpaper without stealing the show. I think it's fine to have two mirrors in that proximity. I also think the smaller mirrored section works better than the larger mirrored section of the butterfly mirror since the opposite wall is just the closet door. Alternatively, you could look for some art work on somewhere like greatbigcanvas. I do think a painting would look nice there.

i feel like the ceiling is artwork in itself, so i thought the entry wall may be best with either a mirror or metal wall decor i feel that the leaf mirror is sorr of a combo of both (?)

i have a piece of artowrk that i want to hang on the blank wall that you see when entering the home. was thinking of using this on the wall near steps. sorry, i have no one to hold it up on the wall to show it in the approximate space.

i dont like this on the entry wall , as it is a shadow box and projects out. i dont like how it extends off the wall in the small entry . Its a pretty piece though and i like it . i have 2 smaller ones that coordinate woth it, but not sure if i will iuse those or just srick with the big one

After seeing the piece to go on the wall by the steps, my first choice for the entry wall would be the large metal butterfly. You could also use the two smaller ones staggered on the wall by the steps instead of the larger single one.
