Yeah, for SZ doors you need to be able to get a good grip and tug, and the pull needs to be hefty enough to do that. A pull designed for a cabinet won’t be.

Yep, as others have said, those pulls won’t do. You need a hardware line that has specific appliance pulls. SZ fridges have super strong seals. You have to tug hard to open the doors. Thus, the pulls require heft, length, and enough distance between the doors and pull to grab with your entire hand.

Top Knobs makes cabinet and appliance pulls that are closer in projection, and available in various lengths and finishes. Examples from build.com:

It's me, the OP. Not sure why but my User name isn't coming up.

I guess I will have to use the appliance handles. My cabinet handles are Sugatsune DIH-592 - a stainless steel pull with mitered corners. Linnea makes a perfect matching handle, but it projects about 3 inches, and I'd love to have something shorter.

Those Sugatsune DIH-592 pulls look similar to Top Knobs Princetonian pulls. I have those and been happy with them. The Princetonian pulls offer appliance sizes 12”, 18”, 18-7/8”, 24”, and 30”, and also regular cabinet pulls in several sizes. Their 24” appliance pull has a 2“ projection.

No one will notice if your fridge pull and cabinet pulls are not identical. People who do not panel their fridges get the pulls that come with the fridge, so of course they don’t match the other pulls in the kitchen. Can you recall what the fridge pulls look like in your friends’ and relatives’ kitchens? No one notices.

It appears to me that the Linnea LP255-19D-A-PSS 23-5/8 Inch Center to Center Thru Bolt Handle Appliance Pull is the best choice.

I'm here to verify that SZ fridges have insane suction. On our first fridge we used a company that made wood paintable appliance pulls. My cleaning person cracked it in half trying to yank the fridge open. I have to use two hands and my whole body weight to open ours. The suction is STRONG.

The french door SZ I installed in the new house doesn't have as much door suction as the SZ columns I had used in the previous house. You don't get the same seal where the 2 french doors come together.
