Virginia Pepperweed?

This forb about a foot tall was found growing in a roadside field back on 4/19. Is it Virginia Pepperweed (Lepidium virginicum), or something else?

It looks like austrinum is endemic to TX and is an option also. It would have stiffer and more hairs on the stems, apparently.

Sure looks like it, or a relative. I see these occasionally on very dry sites -- seem to love dry, sun-baked areas.

L. virginicum usually has multiple stems and more branching. This looks more like L. austrinum to me.
