Nice reblooms you have! Sensational Heart looks a nice red.

I have had more than usual reblooms here, and just the last couple of days have seen 4 more plants with 1 or 2 new scapes each. I snapped off the scapes thinking they may not have time to bloom before frost. They are fairly new plants that I want to conserve their strength.

Sensational Heart seems to have been a winner for you this season. Such a pretty color. The seedlings look good too.Great that they are rebloomers!

Very dry here as well. No rain in forecast for us. Heat returns as well.

Yes, so very dry. But you had substantial rain earlier. Blazing Saddles is one of the few Hansens that performs well here, so I pay attention to its progeny.

Mantis - We did have 5 inches of rain in early August, but the raised beds and the ground is dusty dry right now. The Blazing Saddles kid, unfortunately, was not a weather warrior. It had only a few scapes from a large clump, and they were very short. Blazing Saddles did scape on almost every fan and the scapes, although not the usual 36 inches registered 30 plus inches.

Kate - Sensational Heart was a winner all season. Last week when temps were in the mid-80s the blooms stayed looking good all day. My husband is in rehab now. He had a very serious UTI and a bad fall. He's getting better every day and doing well with physical therapy. Thanks for your comments.

Nancy - I do love Sensational Heart! I'm glad you're getting so much rebloom. I've had less rebloom on registered daylilies than any year in the past. It's mostly my seedlings that are reblooming this year.

So happy you have more rebloom on your seedlings! I hope that the daylilies that took the year off do well next season……that goes for my garden too…….I had over a dozen that didnt bloom, out of two hundred.

Thanks Kay! White Tooth X Skater 2R is a great rebloomer. Blazing Saddles X Amethyst Prism had only a few scapes this year, and short ones at that. Sensational Heart may be my best performer this year. It was definitely one of the best branched and the longest blooming.

White Tooth X Skater looks like a winner, both pretty and great bloomer and rebloomer.

Brad - Most of the kids from the White Tooth X Skater rebloom well. It's tempting to keep all of them.
