Yes they clash. Terribly. Don’t use them. Pick one or the other and go back and Re select. What are the other choices in the space? What drew you to these selections?

Pick the thing that has the least selection first. Now your choices are always expanding.

I’ve always been drawn to strong patterns or something that differs from being on the plain side. If going with that tile, would it have to be a solid countertop?

One star in the room, and everything else blends to it. Yes it would need to a simpler top. Not necessarily solid but but subtle graining. Personally I would use the tops and simplify the floor tile.

Cool counters! I'm another who would go with the counters and pick a simpler floor. Why? Then your beautiful pattern is closer to you, where it seems like it would be easier to enjoy and others would notice it more. Also, counters are easier to swap out down the road should you ever want to. That floor just seems like it would limit too many other choices.

It's easier to change a countertop 10 years from now than the flooring. Select a different flooring withan eye towards classic and natural. The all grey look is a fad that has passed. Perhaps a more naturally colored wood tone for the flooring would work. The light oaks designs are attractive and quiet.

Why make the floors a star! Makes so much more sense that it be counters…unless the pattern would drive you nuts when doing things on the counter.

The counter is very nice. I would change the floor absolutely. The name says white, but it’s shades of gray striped with white. Not only does it clash wirh your counter, but that type of stripey gray floor is dated. The reason it is falling out of favor is because that type of stripeyness makes it difficult to find anything to go with it - remenber you will have to pick out cabinets, backsplash, and wall paint. How to find those 3 things that will go with those floors - you won’t be able to.

The counters will be your wild psychedelic printed shirt. Would you pair red and yellow clown shoes and glen plaid pants with that? No, you would not. When you have a strong pattern, it takes a ton of skill to add another pattern to the mix. Those 2 choices being considered show that you need to hire someone who has that skill, if you want a complex coordinated look to work.

Love the tile and love the slab, just not sure that I like them together.

I would go with the slab and put in tile that looks like wood.

I would love to save that tile for the bathroom reno.

Hello and no they don’t work together. In my opinion that floor tile is dated and you would do better with a floor that won’t ever go out of style. A nice wood floor is nice and always works!! They have so many textures, colors and materials to work with today including LVT flooring that looks just like wood and gives a more reasonable price point. I love the counter tops and as someone above stated, let it be the star!!!
