Help hanging drapery

Any idea how my sheers should hang? Only one panel flagged on each side of the window or do i add more panels for fullness?

Why do you want sheers when you have shutters on the windows? Or do you mean to hang the sheers on either side of the door? It looks like you already have a shade there.

Generally, fullness for sheers would be 2-3 times the window width, in order to give some privacy, but let the light in. And they just look better when full. But if you are planning to cover the door, you don't really have enough stack space on the sides.

Here’s thing funny part, I had two separate design consults in the last 6 months and both said definitely add sheers! So now i am thinking two separate designers saying the same thing had me thinking, maybe I should?🤔 I just wasn’t sure how to add them or how they need to be hung? They did both mention that the rod needed to wrap around the whole section of that area. 🫤

Is there a wider space of painted wall on the left than the right or is that an optical illusion? If you hang sheers that are the proper fullness they will cover a significant portion of the shutters, especially the one on the right. Is there a reason why you would want to do that?

Do you need them for privacy? If not don’t hang them,

There is definitely a wider space on the left than the right. I was told it would create a more formal, cozy space and tie in with everything better as shutters can sometimes feel cold? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I am also replacing my glass table with a wooden table and white slipper barrel chairs. The walls will also be painted “crushed ice” by Sherwin Williams 🤔🫤 i have enclosed a copy of the suggestions made. Space black will be the colour of my island as. T cabinets are white. Ugh!!

That’s my kitchen cabinets are “white”.

Agree, no sheers. If you don't want shutters on there (my first choice) perhaps some kind of blind you can pull down for privacy in the evening, but keep it up and let the light come in

    in the daytime.

If you are adding warmth with a wood table and fabric chairs then wait on the sheers. I suspect after the changes you won't think the space needs them. And frankly, hanging the rod and the sheers are going to be problematic because of the window configuration and the tight space between the right wall and the wall trim.

Perfect! Saves me money! Thanks everyone. No sheers it is!😊
