Poor picture, but this ~2' forb was found growing by a roadside parking lot back on 7/25. Is it perhaps Symphyotrichum divaricatum, or something else?

It could be Symphyotrichum tenuifolium, but I'm not seeing any very thin, longer leaves. It would be easier to see if a piece of white paper was behind it, or a single branch, displaying the entire range of leaf shapes was seperated and photographed for a clearer picture of what's going on there.🤔
