Help Fixing Bleaching Stain on Cedar Shakes

We’re near the end of our new house build and I think I made a bad decision on the stain for some accent cedar shakes on the siding. Intention was to look like the inspo pic #1. Our house is the second pic where the Cabot’s bleaching stain makes the red cedar shakes look icy grey and nearly the same as the Shoji White paint 😫

I wanted the cedar to maintain it’s different tones and have a warmer brownish gray. The sample the painter had me approve in pic 3 would have been better at least than what we’ve got.

Experts…will this darken up at all as the weathering process goes on? Or should we stain over to get closer to the inspo pic? Does this need to be lightly sanded off? What’s the best approach?t
