HI -- Where is the closet located ? Could the tall dresser go in the closet .Then the long dresser could be the only piece on that wall , then that might leave you enough room for a chair and a small side table. Other wise I say put the tall unit towards the corner then the long dresser beside with room in between . Just don't angle the tall dresser into the corner .

Instead of buying 2 nite tables how about making 2 floating tables, take up less room.

Lefty47: the closet is in the bathroom. We bought the furniture brand new so I'm not really interested in hiding it and losing a huge amount of closet space with such a big piece. So, you like the first floor plan then but maybe more space in between?

Angel8432: We were thinking floating shelves or slim night stands as an option. Both of course depends on the final layout. But I like that we could make them fit whatever odd size we end up with.
