Best seedlings Part 2

All of these seedlings are between 2 and 4 years old. I have no stats on these. We don't take stats usually until they are moved from the seedling bed. These are still in seedlings beds. (We are a year behind moving select seedlings.)

Bodacious Bite X Cherry Pie a la Mode

Buddy's Betsy X Stoke the Fire--We love the intense color on this one as well as the fact it has a nice tall scape.

I was hoping for a richer color with streaks on this one, which is Ruby Grandeur X Explosion in the Paint Factory. None of them had stripes, but they are super vigorous, tall and well budded. We have crossed them back to Explosion in the Paint Factory.

We did get stripes on Pink Stripes X Perfect Pose.

I love the dark coloration of Hey Soul Sister X Snidely Whiplash.

This two-year-old seedling is one of my favorites. It is Love All Serve All X Una de Gato.

I was looking forward to seeing this cross bloom. Unfortunately, this one and its siblings got crushed by the tree. Hopefully next year they can show up what they are worth. This Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine.

This one was one of my absolute favorites. It is Sonoran Desert Rose X Crimson Stories. I love the saturated color and the cream edge on the sepals and petals.

We were really surprised by the size of this flower--probably about 8 inches. This is Spacecoast Pumpkin Power X Deadliest Catch.

I was hoping for some teeth on Hip Hop Music X Cherry Pie a la Mode, but, alas, I didn't get any.

I am not usually one for stippled plants, but I love this one. We had gotten a lot of stippled seedlings by crossing red with yellow. This is Itsy Bitsy Spider X Indelible Blood.

This diploid is Little Donny Darko X (Fulva cypriana X Unknown). Bob usually works with tets with the fulvas, but he collected some bee pods from cypriana and a couple grew that looked liked dips. I guess they were.

We are getting many dark diploids. This is Little Donny Darko X Odell.

These all have some special trait. My favorite is SCt Pumpkin Power X Deadliest Catch mainly because of its large size, plus that color combination appeals to me. I hope you go on to register that one. I like Bodacious Bite X Cherry Pie a la Mode because of its more subtle colors and the double edge. The dark, rich coloration of Hey Soul Sister X Snidely Whiplash makes it a standout too!

I’m with Debra, that SC Pumpkin Power seedling is a stunner. I also really like the bitone seedling. I hope these two make the cut .

The Sonoran Desert Rose and Pumpkin Power seedlings most captured my attention. Is Spacecoast Pumpkin Power a good hardy performer for you?

Mantis, we got rid of Spacecoast Pumpkin Power because it didn't seem hardy. It barely made it through one winter (or two, I don't remember) and we dug it up and put it in a pot. We don't breed with it any more so we let it go because we don't have room in the greenhouse for very many daylilies. The seedling has been through three winters, but we don't know yet how hardy and vigorous it will be.

I likw Pineapple Bites X Extreme Tangerine. and also Spacecoast Pumpkin Power X Deadliest Catch. is a stunner. The intense color of Soul Sister X Snidely Whiplash. is very appealing. Sonoran Desert Rose X Crimson Stories is a lovely color and nice combination.
